Consolação Cemetery Tour

ConsolaçãoConsolação Cemetery (Most renowned sculptors of Brazil). It was inaugurated in 1958 as a result of overcrowding of the Catholic Churches filled up with corpses of the aristocratic elite of São Paulo.
The new cemetery became a new location to house the tombs. It has had more than 140,000 burials since its foundation in its 104,000 square meters.
It houses a large number of tombs, funerary monuments and mausoleums designed by renowned sculptors like Victor Brecheret, Galileo Emendabili and Luigi Brizzolara that highlights some reference works in the funerary art of the country.
